“For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole” Matt. 5:21
It all started as a normal menstruation every woman experiences at the circle of twenty-five to thirty days. It is a sign of maturity for a woman and symbol of reproduction.
Every parent feels happy the first day his or her daughter experience menstruation. However, some young one felt bad and ashamed the very first time the saw their cloth stained at the back. Most it happened at school or somewhere, when she didn’t expected.
This was the experience of this woman. She always felt happy as a woman, whenever she saw her menses. One day, the blood flowing is expected to stop with three to five days, maximum seven days. When her menstrual period passed normal five days, she expected it to stop at the seventh day but unfortunately the blood refused to stop. She became worried and started looking for solution.
For twelve years she could not find solution to her flowing blood. Her problem became her identity. Nobody remembered her name but they remember her problem. She spent all her hard earning salary to secure her healthy living. But all her effort proved abortive.
Her problem became so severe that no man was ready to ask her hands in marriage. She too became depressed and never desired to get married because of her problem. She could no longer associate with her friends. Nobody invited her to the occasion. She was ostracized. A well looking and beautiful woman at her prime age became an aged woman, pill of bone and very weak. What should be thing of joy became a serious concern for her and her parents.
On a faithful day, a popular man came to the great physician pleading that he should come and attend to his daughter who was at the sick and at the point of death. Jesus, the great physician stood up with his disciples and followed the man.
Remember, Jesus Christ didn’t walk alone. Wherever He goes crowd follow Him. On that day crowd moved with Jesus and everybody wanted to experience His supernatural power. Meanwhile, this woman also was among the crowd. Then she said in her heart “If but I may touch His garment I shall be whole.”
The moment she said that in her heart she was whole. Remember, she had no strength because of the loss of blood. Many things were against her. The Jewish tradition reframe her from coming closer to people. She was unclean and not allowed in the society. Her immune system was weak. She did not smell nice. But the moment she made up her mind and purposed in her heart to be whole, she was healed.
But she needed to activate her healing which had been settled in heaven by touching the hem of Jesus garment. That was her point of faith. That was her point of miracle. She gained strength to press through the crowd, bend herself without considering, she could be stampeded.
She was healed the moment she determined to touch the hem of Jesus’ garment but that was not her focus. Her focus was to be made whole. It is a complete turn-around experience. She did not stop at the point of healing. She went further to activate supernatural wholeness. She touched the hem of His garment and she was made whole.
Friend, are you determined to experience supernatural power of God? Yes! It is possible if you can make up your mind and connect your miracle to the God’s word. Surrender your life and situation to Jesus today and you will never regret.
May you be make whole of any shameful situation in your life in Jesus name. As you determine to follow Jesus and touch His hem of garment you will became a miracle to this world in Jesus name.
