“And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, THEY PRESENTED UNTO HIM GIFTS; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.” Matt 2:11
It was on a cool day in the month of August, 1974. A family lost a son to motor accident. The son was their only son which they gave birth to at their old age. The boy was 20 years old when the ugly incident struck.
The old man and woman were in the anguish of their lost even until the December of the year. On the Christmas day a young boy of about 12 year old knocked at their door. The old woman opened the door came out to the young boy. The young boy stretch out a bunch of followers and presented it to the woman said “Jesus Love you”.
The received the followers and called unto her husband. Tires were run down her chicks. The young boy was watching in awe. He didn’t know what was happening. In his surprise, the boy went to tell his parent and told them what he saw.
The parent of the young boy went down to visit the old man and woman on the Christmas day. The old couple said to the boy and his parent, “thank you for the gift of Christmas followers. It reminds us of the last gift our son gave to us on the Christmas day before he died. He gave us the exact followers and wrote a small note with it which says exactly what the young boy said. “Jesus Loves You” that was what brought tears out of my eyes.
A little gesture of love goes a long way to heal a broken hearted. As we move closer to the end of the year, it is very imperative to know that this year has been a very turbulent and challenging year for some people. The state of economy affects many families financially and emotionally. Remember to do something, no matter how little it may be, give out a follower of hope and comfort to someone.
The young boy was a miracle to a family that just lost their son in a motor accident. You are a miracle to someone somewhere. Your gifts and generosity can bring hope and power to people. It’s a demonstration of wisdom to give out a Christmas Followers.
On the day Jesus was born three wise men paid him a visit at a manger and they brought him gifts. It is not always about what you want, but most time, it’s all about what you can give to others.
You don’t need to get the whole world before you can put a smile on someone’s face.
Welcome! It’s your first time on this post, and we are glad to have you.
